International Danube Festival probably 4th - 13th July 2014
2012 was the 300th anniversary of the
departure down the Danube. In 1712 the first boats with emigrants went
downstream the Danube. Every other year old and new friends are invited to the
International Danube Festival: a festival of encounters. Ambling throughout the
"Markets of the Danube Cities" you gain insight into the diversity of
handicraft in the Danube countries. Craftspeople meet on the bank of the Danube
to present pottery, textiles, clothes, wooden toys and much more.
Not only handicraft, but also culinary
specialities from the Danube countries are offered. The International
Danube Festival Ulm/Neu-Ulm is a part of an actually lived Europe. |
