The cities of Ulm and Neu-Ulm are located opposite each other on either side of the Danube.
They are both independent cities. The special characteristic is that Ulm is in the state of Baden-Württemberg whereas Neu Ulm is in Bavaria.

Touristic marketing is nevertheless in the hands of a joint company - Ulm/Neu-Ulm Touristik GmbH (UNT).
